Né en 1985 à Paris, et formé à Marseille, Diego Konicheckis pratique le graffiti depuis l’âge de 14 ans. Membre du crew « Ki Fait Ca? » il investit l’espace publique depuis bientôt 15 ans, et représente aujourd’hui la scène montante marseillaise. C’est en 2009, lors d’un voyage en Amérique du Sud, terre de ses origines, qu’il décide de se consacrer totalement à la peinture et à l’illustration.
Il commence alors à enrichir son univers, un monde figuratif issu des cultures urbaines. Il invente et développe une société remplie de personnages évoluant au fil de de scénettes, dans un monde où le réel et l’imaginaire semblent se répondre en miroir. Le travail de la lettre y est aussi important et maintient un lien avec le graffiti de ses origines.
Born in 1985 in Paris, and trained in Marseille, Diego Konicheckis has been practicing graffiti since the age of 14. Member of the crew « Ki Fait Ca? » it has been taking over public space for almost 15 years, and today represents the rising Marseille scene. It was in 2009, during a trip to South America, the land of his origins, that he decided to devote himself completely to painting and illustration.
He then begins to enrich his universe, a figurative world resulting from urban cultures. He invents and develops a society filled with characters evolving through scenes, in a world where the real and the imaginary seem to mirror each other. The work of the letter is also important there and maintains a link with the graffiti of its origins.
